Wessex Cancer Trust is launching a new ‘Sing for Life’ choir on the Isle of Wight.
The charity currently runs 3 other popular choirs in Totton, Cosham and Salisbury, which give anyone affected by cancer the opportunity to come together, relax and have fun.
The new choir will meet on a Monday between 14:30 and 16:00 at the charity’s cancer Wellbeing Centre at 21 Lugley Street, Newport – from 16th May.
It’s open to anyone who has been impacted by cancer in any way.
Sue Edmonds, Sing for Life’s musical director, says:
“The best thing about Sing for Life is that there’s no pressure to perform, or even turn up every week. You don’t need to audition, be able to read music or be an experienced singer. Being part of our choirs can really help anyone living with cancer because both music and a sense of belonging are immensely healing.”
