A land slip in East Cowes has seen a further 40ft section of woodland collapse onto the Esplanade over the Easter weekend.
It was almost 4 years ago that a sloped piece of land backing onto the Esplanade started to move, with the dead-end road eventually being completely covered by large amounts of earth at the end of April 2014.
Now, yet more of the wooded area has fallen away to cover a further section of the road. It appears significant pressure is being placed on the sea wall.
It is thought the collapse occurred overnight on Saturday into the early hours of Sunday morning.
Councillor Karl Love says he is deeply concerned and wishes for warning signs to be put in place on all footpaths in the area, including in amongst the woodland.
