What has become of Sandown, it makes Ryde look like
the Ritz.
Lol
What a ridiculous and completely inaccurate thing to say.
You obviously haven’t seen all the p*ssheads
outside Sandown library on a daily basis or along
the esplanade.
Also in Ryde people in wheelchairs don’t get
attacked and spat on.
Sandown has a serious problem, it needs constant
Policing, it’s becoming a NO go zone!
Ryde is still a sh*thole, but Sandown tops the list.
There are some really vile people living on our island
Too many numpties for my liking, we need islandwide
CCTV and re-open Camp Hill.
I’m not convinced yet that he intentionally meant to push her off. He was annoyed at a bicycle in a pedestrian area. Dosen’t sound like a hooligan to me. More like a frustrated law abider. Mind they can be a self righteous pain.
To make a general point about cyclists, and not criticising the woman in this case as I don’t know the circumstances, but they can present a real hazard to pedestrians. One nearby example: about 15 years ago the revetment between Shanklin and Sandown was prohibited to cyclists, but after a couple of very close shaves I complained to the council and suggested warden patrols to stop and fine them. They responded by making it a shared space, with tiny signs asking cyclists to take care around pedestrians. Result: more cyclists than before, many of whom skim past at high speed within inches of walkers, and you can’t hear the idiots coming because of the sound of the waves. A once-pleasant walk has been spoiled, and one has to look behind constantly to avoid the selfish fools. That’s not to condone injuring them, but many riders seem completely reckless as to whether they cause harm to anyone else.
