Will they never learn?
Must be desperate times no they will never learn
Tool
So much scum on the iow now. There’s less crime in Eastleigh according to the national crime figures
It’s like grand theft auto every day something seems to be happening lol
I can relate to that after the government saw fit that I didn’t need any self employed income support due to being recently self employed.
The lockdown cost me £2k in debt and now I’m back working again it will take me a year to pay it off my credit card.
Well done government, thank you for no help and the struggle to come….. oh yeah and in advance, thank you for having to pay more tax to pay off all the money that you gave to everyone else.
You can see why people are desperate!
I am lucky to be back working, some have no jobs now.
turning over a shop isn’t the solution though.
So you think it’s ok to attack innocent people who have to work as well, perhaps you should control your finances in a better way, and save a little for a rainy day..
I agree that robbing people is not acceptable but your comment that Tim ” should control your finances in a better way, and save a little for a rainy day” is so patronising! Being self employed isn’t any easy life and newly self employed can find it harder still. Work isn’t always regular so it can be hard to budget or put any money aside, also you don’t get job seekers allowance or sick pay so even a small downturn in work or a short spell of illness can negatively affect your finances very quickly. Also there are still people who think its acceptable to either knock your quote once the job is complete or worst still not pay you at all and some people think its ok to make you wait months for your money!
Perhaps instead of jumping down the guys throat, you could try understanding exactly how this piss poor excuse of a government has thrown hundreds of thousands of people to the dogs. He never said it was ok, he just said he understood why. It might surprise you to learn that not everyone is able to “save a little for a rainy day”. A little more understanding, and a little less self righteousness might help.
Keith, there’s no patronising intended from me, your reading into my comments the wrong way, however, I’m self employed and have found it difficult, but if I had not saved over the years I also would have suffered with my finances.
I haven’t taken a holiday for over twenty years, and I don’t go out for dinner or drink. We live in an uncertain world and we should do a little ourselves to prepare for bad times.
It’s pointless blaming government for everything that goes wrong in life, no one could have predicted the damage that CV has created, it’s a worldwide problem, not just our governments.
No excuse, threatening someone then robbing them is the lowest of the low. Let’s be honest you have no idea why this person decided to do what they did. Blaming someone else is always the liberal lefties answer. How about people take responsibility for their own actions?
Why don’t you f off, Clare!
someone puts theirselves at risk of this virus, turns up at work, at the shop, when they could quite easily have said “I am not working, to risky with this virus” and this is the thanks they get – some deadbeat, scumbag, lowlife, cretin robs them.
effin arsewipe needs shooting – probably wanted the money for booze, baccy and gear. deffo a junkie waster, without shadow of a doubt
Well said, Tim. The chap must have been in dire straits to resort to risking his liberty and stealing. No one *wants* to steal.
The safety net provided by the UK has slowly been dismantled.
It’s only now that those not normally having to claim benefits are in financial difficulty, that the Conservatives are having to consider removing its punitive welfare policies.
And before you say I don’t care about the shop – Rashleys has been my local newsagents for 23 years. It always helps to empathise with both sides and in this case, I can see many reasons why this has happened during these times.
Know what you mean I’ve had no money now for 9weeks just had to put my house up for sale as I can’t afford to pay for it
Well planned heist then? Cretin!
The sad bit is, what effect does this have on the staff member. What are the chances of them getting compensation? although that does not help the emotional part.
I thought everyone was posh in Gurnard
Let’s hope he gets the help and support he needs now he gone to these lengths and doesn’t get dumped and forgotten
