A brand new media product for the Island – the Isle of Wight VoucherBook – has launched bursting with money-saving deals for Islanders and tourists alike. Very much a new take on an old idea, the Isle of Wight VoucherBook can be used by Island businesses to get customers through their doors during their quieter periods with an offer or promotion. With the cost of living crisis making things tight for everyone, it’s also an easy way for Islanders and visitors to find some great local deals. The launch issue contains offers relating to attractions, food and drink, health & beauty and retail outlets. Priced at just £10, the Isle of Wight VoucherBook is available from a growing list of selected vendors Island-wide and can also be purchased via the website, where you can view all the deals before you buy – www.isleofwightvoucherbook.com. A spokesman for Bembridge-based Isle Of Wight VoucherBook has said:
“This product is a win/win for everyone. “Businesses can spread the word about the great deals they have to Islanders and Island visitors who often don’t follow local social media, getting customers in when they need them. Vendors make a risk-free and very healthy mark up selling these books, which means their advertising spend in the book is recouped. “Those buying and using the VoucherBook can save potentially hundreds of pounds and visit and support more shops, attractions and hospitality business whilst doing so’’.
Isle of Wight VoucherBook is being printed in batches meaning more businesses can add their vouchers in June, however, the current VoucherBook is valid until September 2024.

Paying for vouchers? That’s going to be quite an ask..
Exactly.
Just followed the link and it’s mostly the likes of:
‘£50 off your next holiday’;
‘Holiday Home Ownership’;
‘Looking for a beautiful holiday home’?
There is a day return to Southampton on RedJet for £12.50 but after paying £10 for the voucher, it’s about the usual price. The rest are mainly ‘Buy One Get One Free’ type offers and a ‘Free tea or hot drink’ or free soft drink with a meal.
You used to get vouchers for free, but these days it seems you have to pay for them.
Day return in the red funnel booklet is £12.50 anyway, or £11.50 weekends. It’s another cost layer for an already skint population.
Depends on the vouchers in there. If the ones you would use total a saving more than the cost of purchase of the book then it’s worth it…
That would be like going to Spoons for a breakfast and cooking it yourself
even though you paid for it!
So, customers pay for the book, vendors pay for the advertising.
“This product is a win/win for everyone.”
But mainly the Bembridge based seller.
Here’s a tip, vendors….if you can ‘discount’ a price and want to help people just do it anyway.
Maybe it’s my browser that maybe doesn’t link properly but when you try their website to see what offers are available all you get is their offer to buy a voucher book.
They aren’t going to get many sales if you can’t see who is partcipating…
Try scrolling down
Does it get money off the important things like gas electric and council tax?
Of course not, you need to spaff out a brat or two, then the living is easy, eh.
Not really, as then consumption goes up, not down.
Everything that is wrong with the Island.
Everything that is wrong with the Island is most of the idiots commenting on here! It’s £10 where you can literally save that on one of the food vouchers alone. Everything costs money and of course the guy who produced this needs to make a living. It’s called business, regrettably most of you morons do not understand the word. You have a choice in life, you can buy the voucher book or you don’t have to. Wake up the lot of you!
As I said, if the link doesn’t work then you can’t make an informed decision.
But, of course, just rant and rave and get insulting.
You wouldn’t have a vested interest, would you?
paying £10 for voucher book but the website does not say what the offers/vouchers are for so unless they add that on their website I don’t think a lot of people will take them up
Try looking at menu…..view voucherbook deals.
Sounds like a ripoff to me,paying for vouchers!!
