Isle of Wight singer-songwriter Amy Jolliffe has released her latest single, Take Me Home, inspired by the difficulty of maintaining friendships when you are young.
Recorded with funding from the Mike Howley Trust, the track was written after a close friend of Amy’s left for university. It tells the story of someone eager to explore new places, unaware of the emotional impact on those they’re leaving behind.
Influenced by artists such as Julia Jacklin, Billie Marten and Flyte, Amy’s music blends rich vocal harmonies, vintage guitar tones and warm, resonant percussion.
Amy said:
“I am so excited to release my new single. This is my favourite one so far and I had so much fun recording it in the studio.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me with my music.”
Produced by Dan Ashdown, the track also features bassist Bobby Taylor and drummer Matt Whillier.
Take Me Home follows the release of Love Is, which came out in February. Earlier this year, Amy performed at the Isle of Wight Festival and was named Brave Island’s Young Creative of the Month.
