Stormtrooper, considered pioneers of the punk genre, are set to reunite for their first live performances since 1975, with 2 shows as part of a 2026 reunion tour.
The band will perform at Blacksheep Bar in Ryde this Friday (13th March) and at Quay Arts in Newport on 27th March, marking the group’s first gigs in more than half a century.
Stormtrooper originally played just a single live show together at a concert in Bath before releasing their debut single, I’m A Mess, in 1977.
The track was produced on Solent Records and released alongside commemorative badges.

Following their Isle of Wight reunion shows, Stormtrooper are planning further performances later this year, including headline appearances in London and Toronto.
Founding Bassist, Jeff Piccinini, has said:
“We couldn’t get arrested back in 1975 but here we are 50 years later playing our songs.
“A storm is coming!”
Founding members Jeff Piccinini and Nigel Hutchings will lead the lineup, joined by guitarists Pete Galpin and Graham McCollough, alongside drummer Kevin Mann, who has previously played with Alternative TV and The Creation.
Stormtrooper reunited again briefly in 2003 in a California studio, where they re-recorded I’m A Mess with the help of Guns & Roses drummer Brain and UK Subs guitarist Nicky Garrett.
The upcoming reunion shows will feature the band’s classic recordings along with additional material.
