Local marching band Medina Marching Band has been invited to take part in London Band Week 2023 this Summer.
The news was announced on New Year’s Day and will see a performance at the London Tattoo at London’s Excel Centre, London docks and the Palace Parade review in the King’s Garden at Hampton Court Palace and Drumline London in the week beginning the 1st July.
Vice Chair, Kevin Downer, has said:
“This is a big event for the band participating alongside some of the UK best Youth Marching Bands and also the Bands of HM Royal Marines plus 2 college bands from the USA – The University of Tennessee Bands – Pride of the Southland Band they will be bringing a 350 strong band all the way from the USA also the Sounds of Success Community Marching Band from the USA.
“We are proud to be representing the Island at another prestigious event”.
