Isle of Wight-based RPL Construction has proudly played a part in the BBC’s DIY SOS, joining forces with local tradespeople to help a family in Southampton rebuild their lives after falling victim to a rogue builder.
Alongside an incredible team of local tradespeople and suppliers, RPL donated their time and skills to help rebuild and restore the property transforming it into a safe, beautiful, and functional family home in just 7 days.
The emotional reveal saw the family overwhelmed with gratitude, moved by the kindness and generosity of everyone who came together to make the transformation possible.
Samara Lamb, Director of RPL Construction.
“It was an unforgettable experience for our team.
“Being part of something that changes people’s lives reminds us why we do what we do. The teamwork, community spirit, and compassion shown by everyone on site was extraordinary.”
RPL Construction, based on the Isle of Wight, was honoured to stand alongside dozens of other dedicated local trades and volunteers who answered the call to help.
The episode is set to air early in the new year, and RPL looks forward to seeing the finished result on screen, but for the team, the real reward was knowing they played a part in giving this deserving family a fresh start.

Well done to RPL, there are too many rogue builders in the
country.
Anyone can purchase a van and have it labelled with
a load of sponsored ballsh*t and sadly many people fall
for it.
I always use a building company in Pompey for my
works, I will bear RPL in mind for future works.
There are plenty of reputable builders on the Island pity you don’t use the locals.
It’s not easy finding the right one, many don’t
show up or stick to what they promise.
Been bitten too many times and they are not
cheap.
Yes that’s exactly what I thought. Good company, by the sound of it.
