Connor Tymon, co-owner, coach and fighter at Brotherhood MMA, is making his professional Mixed Martial Arts Debut at the world-renowned One Championship in Thailand.
Having fought for a number of years as an amateur mixed martial artist, it’s been long overdue for the Islander to take to the professional ranks.
Connor is currently the Island Fight League Welterweight Champion and the Shock N Awe Welterweight Champion, having defended that title once already.
The fight, which will be live-streamed worldwide, is scheduled to take place on Friday 28th February at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok – a venue that fighters usually only dream of competing in.
Both Connor and his brother and head coach, Kalon Tymon, flew out to Koh Samui in Thailand last month to focus on preparations for the biggest fight of his life, and have been there training multiple times per day since.
The boys have also been welcomed into Royal Fight Club Samui, where they have also been asked to coach on multiple occasions – with martial artists from around the world in attendance at their classes.
Friends and family will be flying out to watch the fight and support the brothers in this monumental step in both of their careers.
The international opportunity arose on quite short notice, with travel and accommodation expenses needing to be self-funded. A GoFundMe page was set up to help Connor get to Thailand and chase his dreams. Donations are still welcome as they are continuing to help cover living and training expenses.
