ISLAND SPEEDWAY WELCOMES RENTRUCK

islandspeedwaystartFollowing on from the news that TB Motorcycles from Didcot have pledged their support for the Islanders, the club have announced that Rentruck has become Island Speedway’s newest advertising partner in the team’s planned weekly programme.

Rentruck, a vehicle hire company from Rochdale, has been trading for over 90 years, providing a large range of vehicles from small cars to 17 seater minibuses and from car derived vans through to 3.5 tonne Luton box vans, as well as a huge choice of temperature-controlled vehicles for the food-chain and pharmaceutical industries.

Barry Bishop, one of Island Speedway’s two Directors said:

“Rentruck has become a brand synonymous with speedway in the UK and we are extremely pleased to be working with them. Indeed, as the team and school grow it’s something we are hopeful to extend upon in the coming years. Richard and his team employ a fantastic social media and online presence, something which is in line with our SMO Hayley Stevens thinking. In fact, it is due to the power of Social Media that I was able to show Rentruck what we have achieved and where we are taking Island Speedway. Welcome to Island Speedway Rentruck.”

Enjoying his involvement with the Islanders, Richard Cotton from Rentruck said:

“We were approached by Barry from Island Speedway after we had become a follower on Twitter. We very quickly agreed to become a partner after reading all about the project, although we were already aware of the work being done there.

“We have been involved in speedway for many years, predominantly with Belle Vue, and became their main sponsors from the start of 2013. Since then, as well as providing The Aces with vans, our involvement with other clubs and individual riders has snowballed, so much so that we currently have 34 “speedway” vehicles currently on hire”.

Following on from the very inspirational Fan’s forum held recently at the Ryde Superbowl, Martin Widman and Barry Bishop have been thrilled with the feedback and now seek a Commercial Manager for the Isle of Wight and that position can be applied for at [email protected].
