The annual event is hosted by the Antelope Race Team and attracts riders from top teams and clubs from the region. The course for the day was the rolling P140 TT course, which is known to be a tough 10 miles due the strong crosswinds and heavy road surface.
The course meant that times on the day were slow for the distance and Faye also suffered an almost totally flat tyre as one of the valves was leaking and by the time she finished it was almost unrideable. Despite this she managed to take the win over some tough competition especially the ladies team from Southampton University who are well regarded as fast riders.
Faye hopes to again qualify for the British Cycling National Championships later this year and is looking forward to the Island Games where she will represent the Island in the Time Trial and Road Race.
