Entries for The Needles Cross Country Half Marathon, sponsored by Wightlink, have now opened and the event promises entrants some of the most breathtaking views of the island.
Entrants to the event, which is being held on 7th June, will receive a 15% travel discount on Wightlink ferry routes to the Island.
The race for all ages promises some demanding terrain alongside breath-taking scenery and spectacular coastal views. The sporting feat finishes with a prize-giving for the fastest man and woman across a number of age ranges.
Head of Marketing at Wightlink, Mark Persad, said:
“We’re so pleased to be involved in this event, which helps raise money for good causes such as the official charity, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
“By offering travel discounts with Wightlink, it’s hoped as many mainland entrants will be attracted not only to the amazing Island views, but also to a unique sporting challenge in aid of some great causes”.
