Families across the Isle of Wight can get ready for a cracking Easter as the popular Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme returns with 2 weeks of fun, food and fresh adventures.
Running from Monday 30th March to Friday 10th April, this year’s programme is packed with activities designed to get youngsters active, creative and smiling.
Much‑loved providers from across the Island are back with favourites like horse riding, hands‑on farming fun, sports coaching, music-making and even film‑making, and a handful of new faces are joining in to bring even more choice.
Every session includes a healthy, tasty meal, meaning families can enjoy the peace of mind that their children are having fun and eating well.
Free places are available for children who receive income‑related free school meals, and there are also a limited number of discretionary funded places for those who don’t meet the criteria but would still benefit.
Full details are available on the Isle of Wight Council website.
Councillor Paul Brading, chair of the council’s children’s services, education and skills committee, said:
“We’re thrilled to bring back the HAF programme for Easter.
“Every school holiday, we see children building confidence, trying things they’ve never tried before and coming home buzzing with stories.
“Whether it’s feeding goats, learning a new sport, or discovering a love of music or film, these activities give our young people experiences that stay with them.
“At the same time, the programme helps families by providing nutritious meals and a supportive, welcoming environment.
“The enthusiasm from our local providers is incredible, and together we’ve created a programme the whole Island can be proud of. We can’t wait to see children having another brilliant Easter holiday.”
Families can explore all available Easter sessions through the HAF Booking System, which brings everything together in one easy place.
Bookings are now open and activities can be booked through the Eequ booking platform. Details of every session are also available on the Isle of Wight Family Information Hub.

Surely this will be in the Easter holidays, not Half Term which has already passed?
