A dolphin has washed up on a remote beach on the South Coast of the Isle of Wight.
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were mobilised to investigate reports of the deceased mammal ashore at Watershoot Bay near St Catherine’s Point at 16:20 this afternoon.
Officers soon located the dolphin and collected information relating to the find, reporting back to the National Maritime Operations Centre.
It’s thought a member of the public reported the grim discovery.
