All 3 of the Island’s Coastguard Rescue Teams have been responding to emergencies across the Isle of Wight today (Saturday), including 2 fallen casualties in 2 separate West Wight incidents.
Needles Coastguard Rescue Team and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked at 13:18 to reports of an injured woman along the bridleway between The Causeway and Yarmouth.
Following the arrival of a local Co-Responder and a paramedic crew from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, it was decided that the casualty did not require a stretched carry-out. Coastguards were stood down within the hour.
Then, at 15:52, The Needles Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked once again to a fallen female – this time at Newtown Creek.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team were also mobilised to the incident but both teams were stood down at 16:09.
The casualty, who was suffering from a suspected dislocated knee, made her own way to hospital.

I hope the casualties are okay.
I know I’m showing my age here, but please, Island Echo, you need to rephrase “2 fallen women” and “fallen female”.
Why’s that then? Does it suggest that they are on the game or something? I just thought that one had bad knees and the other,a dodgy hip? I wouldn’t pay for that!
and let’s not forget “tasked”. Task is a noun not a verb. “Respond” would have been the correct word.
Hope they are both OK but I am not sure they would be too pleased about being referred to as “fallen women”. Lol. Hope
Well they could be women but give them s break these days you got to be careful wot you say people may be or human beings maybe for god sake does it matter people
Obviously Island Echo is not very well up on Victorian literature.
