Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team, Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team and Bembridge RNLI lifeboat were tasked to reports of a person cut off by the tide at St Helens earlier this morning (Monday).
A concerned member of the public made a 999 call to Solent Coastguard shortly before 10:00 after seeing a person cut off by the incoming tide at St Helens Fort.
Coastguard Officers were tasked to The Duver, where it was soon discovered that the male had made it ashore safe and well.
Bembridge RNLI’s inshore lifeboat was stood down before launching and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were also stood down whilst en-route to the scene.
The annual fort walk, which sees thousands of people head out to St Helens Fort and back again, was held on Saturday evening.
