Frustration is building among Isle of Wight customers as heating oil deliveries are delayed and questions over pricing remain unanswered.
In the last few weeks, Islanders had reported lengthy delays in the delivery of their heating oil, with some waiting more than 2 weeks longer than anticipated. Others have reported that they have been contacted by Certas saying that the price of the order has since gone up, despite – in a lot of cases – payment already being taken.
The firm experienced supply issues here on the Isle of Wight this time last year.
Having reached out to the fuel supplier, who has more than 80 local depots across the United Kingdom, Certas said they are working to get fuel to all of their customers as soon as possible.
A Certas Energy spokesperson said:
“Certas Energy are fulfilling customer orders across the island, and we are committed to getting heating oil to all of our customers. Anyone with a specific question should reach out to our customer service team for support.”
Certas Energy made no comment on the payment increases affecting some customers.
Earlier this week, more than £50million worth of Government support was announced for low-income households relying on heating oil.

Usual scamming, profiteering businesses taking Gov and the publics money and charging what they like with no recourse.
Of course they wont comment on price increase , cos they are ripping customers off and the customer is the only one losing here
Fuel stations are the same.
Once an order is accepted the price should not change.
