When will they ever learn??
Obviously driving to the weather conditions…. NOT… idiot..
Was it due to weather conditions?
Was this road gritted overnight?
The gritting process doesn’t magically turn the tarmac into hot, dry, sticky summer tarmac. It actually adds a viscous layer which is quite slippery, it’s just less slippery than thick frost or ice. People still need to think, slow down and drive to the conditions!
Yes it was but doesn’t allow for numptys
Do you expect every road on the Island to be gritted every frosty night, just so people can drive as if it’s summer? Would you be happy to pay for that?
Valid point, I drove along there this morning and yes it had been gritted at some point, but even at 10am it was like an ice rink.
I’ve never felt my car that unstable. Even a sensible speed as is constantly promoted by the sanctimonious on here felt decidedly dodgy.
Its been confirmed that “the road moved slightly to the left unexpectedly “…..
Far too many people driving too fast and too close to the vehicle infront. Just remind people the stopping distance at 40 miles per hour is 36 meters or 118 feet and not 5meters as most island drivers seem to think.
