At 11:42 on Saturday morning, the lifeboat was tasked to assist a 44ft yacht with engine failure and a very fatigued crew of 2. In light winds, the yacht was unable to make way under sail so a tow was established by the lifeboat crew and the vessel was recovered to the safety of Yarmouth Harbour, with the lifeboat arriving back at station by 14:05.
In a second incident at 18:30 on Sunday eveing, the volunteer crew raced to assist a power boat which began sinking just off Yarmouth harbour. As soon as the stricken vessel was alongside the harbour pontoon the lifeboat crew deployed a salvage pump to keep her afloat until she could be lifted to safety by the harbour crane.
