The Isle of Wight is set to get its first Beefeater restaurant as Newport prepares to say goodbye to Table Table.
Medina Quay at Seaclose Park has been a ‘Table Table’ branded eatery for a number of years, but owners Whitbread PLC have revealed plans to transform the restaurant into a Beefeater – a brand never seen before on the Island.
Beefeater is one of the UK’s best known restaurant brands which has been welcoming guests for over 40 years. There are now over 140 Beefeater restaurants up and down the country.
A spokesperson for Whitbred PLC has told Island Echo:
“We continually explore ways in which we can improve our restaurants as part of our ongoing strategy to maximise the customer experience and maintain the high standards our guests expect from us.
“Here, we saw an opportunity to introduce our great new Beefeater proposition and feedback from guests where we have made similar improvements has been really positive”.
It is hoped that the new look will be unveiled by the end of October, subject to planning permission.
Whitbread are also set to introduce Brewer’s Fayre to the Island when they open a new Premier Inn hotel in Sandown by mid-2019. Unfortunately, there is still no sign of a Harvester approaching our shores…
