Thomas Clemens claimed the Junior Club Championship title at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club after a hard-fought day of competition last Friday (31st July).
Clemens secured victory in the prestigious 36-hole scratch event, ‘The Jimmy Tarbuck’, with a gross score of 150.
There was further success for Finley Seabrook, who enjoyed an impressive day by winning 3 trophies. Seabrook claimed the Keith Wickham Trophy for the best 36-hole nett score with 137, as well as the W ‘Bill’ Churchill Trophy for the best morning nett score of 68 and the Lyn Guy Trophy for the best afternoon nett score of 69.
Clemens also picked up the Ken Guy Trophy for the best gross score in either the morning or afternoon round with a score of 75.
Elsewhere, Alfie Jones won the Mark Bell Trophy with an impressive 45 Stableford points, while Ellery Smith was victorious in the Flag Competition for higher handicap golfers.
