Ryde’s community project ‘Aspire’, based in the Holy Trinity Church on Dover Street, has launched a brand new website thanks to the support from local company Bate Brand.
Heath Monaghan is the driving force behind Aspire and is also a retained firefighter at Ryde Fire Station. On 21st June Heath and his fellow firefighters were called out during to a fire next to the Coaching House on Union Road, where Bate Brand have their studios. The fire spread and the firefighters had to get in the Bate Brand studios in order to fight the blaze, meaning they suffered a lot of water damage.
Thoughtfully, Heath ensured the company’s computers were removed before any damage was done to them, allowing them to be working as normal Monday morning. The support from Heath didn’t stop there though as he then contacted Bate Brand directly, offering them temporary office space at Aspire.
To say thank you, Bate Brand sponsored one of their Island-only Nemonet websites and donated their time getting it all up and running to broadcast the work Aspire do and help them reach even more members of the community.
Aspire needed a reliable method of communication as to when spaces were available for hire and what was going on that week, so they integrated their Google Calendar into the website for people to view online, saving them a lot of time answering queries and making it easier for people to see everything that is happening there.
The website is responsive, search engine optimised and comes with it’s own content management system, so Aspire can update it whenever they choose to.
Bate Brand will continue to work with Aspire on a variety of projects from website maintenance to creating graphics for posters in order to support them and help them grow.
