Island businesses are being invited to swap the office for the Animal Centre and lend a hand to the RSPCA Isle of Wight next month.
The charity is holding its latest Corporate Volunteer Day on Friday 2nd October, giving local teams the chance to spend several hours carrying out practical jobs at its Animal Centre near Godshill.
Running from 09:30 until 14:30, volunteers will be asked to help with tasks including painting, gardening and general tidying.
No previous experience is required, although the charity is also keen to hear from businesses with employees who can offer specialist skills or expertise.
The initiative is designed to give businesses an opportunity to support animal welfare while bringing colleagues together outside their usual workplace.
Lunch will be provided, alongside tea, coffee and refreshments throughout the day. After lunch, volunteers will also have an opportunity to meet some of the animals being cared for at the centre and learn more about rescue, rehabilitation and animal welfare on the Island.

Rebecca Busby, Marketing and Fundraising Officer at RSPCA Isle of Wight, has said:
“Our last Corporate Volunteer Day was a huge success and it is a fantastic way for local businesses to make a real difference while giving their teams an opportunity to work together for a very worthwhile cause.
“There is always plenty to do at the Animal Centre, and even a few hours of practical help can make a huge difference to the animals and the people caring for them.
“We hope businesses from across the Island will come along, get stuck in and see first-hand the difference their support can make.”
RSPCA Isle of Wight is an independent local charity which cares for vulnerable animals, with its Island Animal Centre looking after and rehoming dogs, cats and small animals, as well as caring for wildlife.
The charity receives no government funding and limited financial support from the national RSPCA, with more than 95% of its funding raised locally through donations, legacies, events and charity shops.
Organisers say taking part can also help businesses engage and motivate employees, support corporate social responsibility goals and strengthen links with the local community.
