Local Charity Age UK Isle of Wight would like to know how they can further improve their services.
They have launched an online survey and are inviting everyone – whether a current user of its services or not – to contribute.
Jo Dare, CEO, has said:
“The impacts of Covid-19 continue to be felt throughout the community not least among our existing clients and as a charity, we too – like so many others – need to reflect on what we do and how we do it.
“We are keen to find out what services really matter to people and whether there are areas that are currently not covered that we perhaps ought to be considering.”
During lockdown, the charity offered free support in the form of shopping and prescription delivery alongside regular welfare and befriending calls. They also helped to raise spirits by working with Care in the Garden to deliver over 500 geraniums to older residents who were isolating at home.
Post lockdown they have continued to support clients as they come out of shielding to help them navigate the ‘new normal’ that we find ourselves in.
The closing date of the survey is Monday 30th November and the findings will be discussed in a series of focus groups with different participants before a final report is produced to help the Charities Trustees with future planning and decision making.
You can take part in their online survey through the charity’s website www.ageukiw.org.uk or through the following link bit.ly/AUKIWfeedback.

You won’t improve services until you get rid of this corrupt government and mps
stop paying so much of the donations in wages..
2019 – age uk had 46 staff taking over £60k per year each from the donations.
The highest paid took between £160,000 and £170,000 a year from the donations, for themselves.
This made age uk as the 73rd highest wage paying charity in the uk.
still… they are dwarfed by the leeches at the “wellcome trust” that have people taking over £3 million a year in wages, from the donations.
never give anything to these leeches, that pocket so much themselves.
