Busy Bee Garden Centre is offering a £1,000 reward for information that leads to the conviction of a thief who stole numerous gas cylinders last Thursday. As previously reported by Island Echo, between 02:00 and 03:00 on 1st February, a male stole around 14 cylinders from the garden centre’s barbecue bottle store. CCTV footage that captured the incident showed the individual wheeling a trolley back and forth across the car park. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is actively investigating the matter. Anyone with information that leads to a conviction of the involved will receive the £1,000 reward. A Busy Bee Spokesperson has said:
“If you have any information please contact Busy Bee on 01983 811096 extension 1, by emailing [email protected] or contact the police on 101, quoting 44240048214. “Anonymity is guaranteed to the informant.”
Hmm, 14 bottles, so possibly either multiple cars were used, or a van, or they were trollied somewhere, unregistered vehicle probsbly, likely smuggled to the island on an iow distribution truck, or most likelynot idk

but CCTV is generally terrible. I have a small cam on the front of my house and it’s way better quality than this and most shop CCTV, I just don’t understand how business’ ones are so awful?
This image is particularly good, what they require is object detection to identify it’s a person so the camera can track and zoom. Around £4k per camera
