Eldridges Solicitors has revealed that the Isle of Wight Youth Trust will be its Charity of the Year for 2025.
The team at Eldridges will fundraise throughout the coming year to support this Island-based charity, which empowers young people to face life’s challenges by providing youth-led wellbeing and therapeutic support to those who need it.
Jo Dare, CEO and Head of Counselling and Wellbeing at the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, comments:
“We are delighted to be chosen by Eldridges as their Charity of the Year throughout 2025.
“As the Island Charity dedicated to serving the youth of our island, we provide our services free of charge. Over recent years, the Youth Trust has expanded its offer to become the first place to turn to, for children and young people aged 5-25, for therapeutic, wellbeing and practical support such as housing and employment advice.
“The support of local businesses is crucial in helping us raise the necessary funds to continue offering these vital services to our young people.”
Established in 1832 Eldridges has a long tradition of supporting charitable and good causes, which includes fundraising activities such as a skydive for Wessex Cancer, Walk the Wight and Go Yellow Day for Mountbatten, together with events for Macmillan Cancer Support and Royal British Legion plus sponsorship for the Isle of Wight Hockey Club, Brighstone Horticultural Society, Godshill Cricket Club, IW Jazz Festival and more.
Joni Ade, Associate Director at Eldridges, who heads their fundraising, says:
“Eldridges has made donations to charities, and sponsored sports clubs for many years and will continue to do so.
“This coming year we have decided to turn our attention to one very special charity in particular. The IOW Youth Trust offers invaluable services and support to children and young adults across the Island, and they are always looking for new ways to expand on the support and guidance they are able to offer our young people.
“We are very proud to be fundraising for this amazing charity.”
