A woman has suffered minor injuries after an incident in Lake yesterday (Monday).
Emergency services including the police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were called to Sandown Road at just after 12:15 following reports of a pedestrian being involved in a collision.
The woman, aged in her 60s, was involved in the collision alongside a black Volkswagen Polo and sustained minor injuries. She was conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital by ambulance.
Emergency services left the scene at just after 13:00.


























































































Old woman stepped out infront of car, the lights were green for vehicles to go she didn’t look before stepping out! Hope the poor car driver is okay!
Being aware of your surroundings could make a difference, which is something most island drivers can’t understand…
This should apply to pedestrians as well

I don’t think a lady in her 60s should be classed as an old woman
Pedestrians always have the right of way in any circumstances, All motorist,how ever frustrating,needs to know this fact!
Excuse me eyewitness I am 63 and far from old. Lets hope that one day you manage to reach your 60’s and with a little more respect than you clearly have now !!!
