Wightlink Cycle Racing Team has confirmed a full and varied programme of events for 2026, with racing on some of the Isle of Wight’s best-known courses running from March through to September.
The season will get underway on Sunday 15th March with the popular Misery on the Milly — a sporting open 35km time trial that takes in the iconic Military Road, with entries already being taken via the Cycling Time Trials website.
One of the highlights of the calendar will be the return of the Wightlink Isle of Wight Classic Road Race on Sunday 17th May, which will again form part of the British Cycling South League.
From April through to August, the team will also run its Evening Club Time Trial Series, featuring six rounds on the well-established Colemans, Ningwood and Pearl 10 courses, with further details of the format to be released in due course.
A new addition for 2026 is the Pearl 10-mile three-up team time trial, which will be staged on the evening of Thursday 23rd July.
The season will conclude with a Charity Hill Climbs Championship on Sunday 27th September, which will also include the team’s Grand Draw in aid of Mountbatten Isle of Wight.
A wide range of prizes and trophies will be on offer throughout the season thanks to team sponsors Wightlink (Isle of Wight Ferries), Island Renewables, Wight Mountain, Kreative Studios, Rapanui and Adrian’s Bike Shop, with Bioracer also providing prizes and jerseys for the Isle of Wight Classic Road Race.
Mainland riders will once again be able to benefit from free ferry travel to all events, courtesy of Wightlink, giving competitors the opportunity to race on some of the South’s most highly regarded roads.

Thanks for the heads up. I will make a note of the dates
perfect time to take a trip to the mainland.
There is nothing worse than a bunch of lycra clad
numpties cycling side by side holding each others hands
blocking vehicles that PAY to be on roads.
If this Council is pleading poverty AGAIN
why not start charging the lycra brigade road fund fees
to cycle on island roads.
The picture is proof cyclists are inconsiderate
road hogs.
