Wightlink have announced that a number of sailings on their Yarmouth-Lymington service will be cancelled tomorrow morning (Monday).
Due to reduced power on one of the company’s ships – and predicted high winds on the Solent- a total of 6 sailings have been pulled.
The 06:40, 08:45 and 11:00 sailings from Lymington and the 07:50, 10:05, and 12:05 sailings from Yarmouth have all been cancelled for Monday 24th February 2020.
Wightlink apologises for any changes to your travel plans.
It was only yesterday (Saturday) that Wightlink were forced to cancel a number of sailings on the same route due to crew absence, as previously reported by Island Echo.

Are these ferry’s not serviced or is it just bad maintenance?
Can’t remember so many cancellations due to above, staff shortages & sickness.
The service as a whole is getting unreliable for those who have work & appointments on the mainland.
This really needs addressing Now! These so called Ferry Services are an essential part of Island life for people and business alike.
Our elected MP needs to address these issues Now, I have total sympathy for people who rely on these companies for transport on a regular basis and the companies who rely on these services.
Island echo report on these issues day in day out, whether it be Ferries or Hover, these companies need to be brought to understand they are supposed to offer a service, not a will they run won’t they run lottery.
This Island is suffering not because of the weather issues on many occasions but due to poor management and outdated/unreliable, poorly serviced vessels not fit for purpose, an Island requires sea worthy vessels as a necessity not a luxury and a decent level of staff to cover absence for whatever reason, if you cant provide that then move over for another company who can.
Well better they cancel than have accident at sea you all would complain then ?
Joke.
High price poor service
Nationalise the lot of them, they’re just taking people for a ride (except that they’re not)
Would like to think that the Isle of Wight council ran all Ferries to and from the Isle, but they are likely far more crooked and greedy, and would spend the profits on more wasters, useless, handicapped, and others that only ‘ever’ take from society and never will be a benefit to such.
So, I guess it could always ‘be worse’.
Careful with your assumptions. Do you think handicapped people don’t want to work, don’t want to contribute to and be a part of their local communities? It is discriminatory bigots like you who stand in the way of inclusivity and acceptance.
