Dog owners and walkers are being urged to take care on Isle of Wight beaches as large lumps of Palm Oil have been washing ashore this week.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team were called out to Yaverland late last night (Tuesday) following reports of the discovery of Palm Oil on the beach.
Officers conducted a shore search between Culver Cliff and Sandown Pier and eventually located a sizeable mass near to the War Memorial at the Esplanade.
Palm Oil can be dangerous – potentially deadly – if eaten by your dog.
Other instances of Palm Oil washing ashore have been reported along the back of the Island and mainland beaches between Poole and Selsey Bill have also seen masses arriving.
