The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Expo returns tomorrow (Tuesday), bringing together almost 100 exhibitors for a free day of networking, expert talks and business showcases – including the UK’s only Tesla Cybertruck.
Running from 10:00 until 16:00, the event at Ryde School is free to attend, with visitors able to register on arrival.
As well as the exhibition itself, this year’s Expo introduces a new speaker programme, with presentations taking place throughout the day in an air-conditioned theatre.
Among the sessions is a look at how artificial intelligence can benefit businesses, with Hamish Nicklin presenting AI, AI what the hell is AI? at 11:30.
Other talks will explore education and employment, commercial performance, geopolitics, collaboration to reduce crime and the impact of the UK’s new Employment Rights Act.
The full speaker programme is:
- 10:30-11:00 – Ekiñe Fernandez-Lane – Let’s Make It Work with Modern Workplace Experiences
- 11:30-12:00 – Hamish Nicklin – AI, AI what the hell is AI?
- 12:30-13:00 – Joe Staunton – The Commercial Athlete
- 13:30-14:00 – Charlie Merritt – Why Geopolitics Now Matters
- 14:30-15:00 – Gareth Lewis – Strength Through Collaboration
- 15:15-15:45 – Keith Brown – Gaps And Traps: We Have Your Back
One of the standout attractions is set to be the UK’s only Tesla Cybertruck, which will be on display throughout the day.
Rob Johnson, Chief Executive of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce, said:
“Expo is all about bringing people together. Every year, we see businesses making valuable new connections, discovering new ideas, and opening doors to opportunities that simply wouldn’t happen otherwise.
“Whether you’re an established company, a start-up, a sole trader, or someone thinking about taking the next step in their career, Expo is a fantastic opportunity to meet people, learn something new, and experience the strength and diversity of the Island’s business community.
“Thanks to the support of WightFibre, we’re able to make the event free to attend and accessible to everyone. We would encourage businesses and members of the public alike to come along and see what makes our business community so special.”
The event is open to both Chamber members and the wider public.
