This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

- Andrew Leggett, 54, of High Street, Wootton Bridge – admitted assaulting a police officer and resisting another officer during an incident in Ryde. He was fined £576 for the assault, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £230 surcharge, and the resisting arrest offence attracted no separate penalty.
- Karen Cunningham, 63, of Colwell Road, Freshwater – admitted assaulting 2 police officers while they were carrying out their duties. She was ordered to pay £75 compensation to each officer.
- Harvey Biggington, 32, of Colemans Lane, Porchfield – admitted driving with cocaine metabolite above the legal limit. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge, and banned from driving for 12 months.
- Reece Judge, 25, of Cranbury Avenue, Southampton – admitted threatening a woman with a kitchen knife, common assault and criminal damage during a domestic incident in Freshwater. He was jailed for a total of 10 months and 15 days, with a common assault sentence running concurrently and the criminal damage attracting no separate penalty. He was also ordered to pay £225 costs and made subject to a restraining order until July 2031.
- Rachel Hewitt, 42, of Fort Street, Sandown – admitted stealing three bottles of cider worth £6.30 from Morrisons in Newport. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £40 costs.
- David Tinn, 46, of Newport Road, Sandown – admitted common assault. He received a 6-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £26 surcharge.
- Paul Smart, 39, of no fixed abode – admitted possessing the Class C drug bromazolam. He was fined £40, ordered to pay £85 costs, and the drugs were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
- Carl Isham, 41, of St Edmunds Walk, Wootton Bridge – admitted harassment after repeatedly contacting and attending the home of a woman in East Cowes. He received a 13-week prison sentence suspended for 16 months, must complete mental health treatment and up to 15 rehabilitation activity days. He was ordered to pay £400 costs, and made subject to a restraining order until June 2028. A linked assault charge attracted no separate penalty.
- Ruby Owen, 30, of no fixed abode – admitted 4 separate shop thefts from Morrisons and Co-op stores in Sandown and Shanklin, involving alcohol, beer and groceries. She was ordered to pay compensation totalling £360.50 to the retailers
- Reza Hatami-Pour, 43, of Green Street, Ryde – was found guilty after trial of failing to comply with the notification requirements of the Sex Offenders Register. He received a 12-month community order with up to 5 rehabilitation activity days, was fined £120, and ordered to pay £450 costs and a £114 surcharge.
- Luke Budden, 36, of Carisbrooke High Street, Newport – admitted stalking a woman in Ryde by repeatedly contacting her, attending her home and entering the property without permission. He received a 12-month community order including six months of mental health treatment and up to 15 rehabilitation activity days, was fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge, and made subject to a restraining order until June 2028.
- Lee-ann Tiller, 29, of Albany Road, Newport – admitted stealing chocolates and toys worth £20.18 from Waitrose in East Cowes. She received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £20.18 compensation and a £26 surcharge.
- Jack Leggett, 31, of Uplands Road, Cowes – admitted drink-driving after providing a breath reading of 91 microgrammes, almost three times the legal limit. He was fined £923, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £369 surcharge, and banned from driving for 25 months, reducible by completing a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
- Matthew Foster, 36, of Mill Road, Yarmouth – admitted drink-driving after providing a breath reading of 47 microgrammes. He was fined £576, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £230 surcharge, and banned from driving for 14 months, reducible by completing a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
- Megan Startin, 34, of Albert Street, Ventnor admitted stealing bedding from Dunelm in Newport. She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £155 compensation.
