The Isle of Wight United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) have invited other Isle of Wight branches of the Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat parties to join together for a public debate on the proposed European Union referendum.
With a vote potentially within a few short months, UKIP would like to work with the other parties to stage a public meeting where Isle of Wight constituents can, on a fair and equal basis, hear all the arguments for and against continued UK membership of the EU.
The Island’s Green Party have agreed to participate and it is hoped that other political parties will join in soon, so that a venue, date, and format can be agreed upon and made public.
