“Lovely Man. Been coming to the Wight Mouse for 40 years and even though there may have been a few years in between visits, he always recognised us and carried on our previous chats like we spoke the previous day. We will miss him terribly, and our thoughts are with the family and work colleagues. I’ll be sure to raise a glass tonight for him.”
“We visit the IoW regularly and always eat at the WMI. Always have a nice chat with Mr Mouse who was always so friendly and helpful.”
“This is so sad. We always chatted when I visited the Wight Mouse starting when I first went there back in 1985. I moved off the Island 6 years ago but I would always visit The Wight Mouse when back. Sincere condolences to his family, work colleagues and his many friends.”
In a heartfelt message, those at The Wight Mouse Inn said they were “heartbroken” at the loss, reflecting the deep impact Tony had on colleagues, friends and the wider community alike.

I knew Tony from our days in Chale Primary School – about 55 years ago ! He was a lovely gentle chap, not an unpleasant bone in his body. Very sad to hear of his passing. Safe journey Tony.
Very sad news 61 is no age at all.
RIP.
Over the past 5+ years sadly so many younger persons are
passing away.
