Over £3,500 has been raised so far to help support the family of an Isle of Wight mother who has been left fighting for her life following a road traffic collision on Thursday.
28-year-old Becky Wall sustained life-threatening injuries in the incident on Briddlesford Road and is currently in a coma at Southampton General Hospital. She was flown directly to the Neurological Intensive Care Unit by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance on Thursday evening.
Family of the mum-of-1 have set up a donation page through Facebook today (Sunday) to help with travel costs and the continued support of Becky’s young daughter. Islanders have already dug deep into their pockets to support the distraught family in their hour of need.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed to Island Echo this afternoon that no arrests have been made in connection with the crash. The 2 men that fled from the scene are still outstanding at this time.
All monies raised will be spent and recorded carefully and any money left over will be split between a donation to the NICU in Southampton and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Yes Red dead right. If they fled the scene then they can’t have been that badly injured, if they were, they’d be seeking medical help. What have they got to hide,drug driving/drink driving,stolen car,no insurance who knows. Whatever, the shit have endangered someone’s life. license plate won’t prove a lot if the car was stolen, but like you say someone knows
Someone knows a friend of neighbour that has strangely ‘lost’ their car on the same day. One that is the same as the one in the crash. Maybe we should have a quick look at our friends face book pages and see if that car is in any of their pictures. Would take fine minutes.
