The Apollo Theatre Players has announced their next production, an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s thriller The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side, which opens at the Apollo Theatre later this week (Friday).
It is 1960s England and a wind of change is blowing through the land. It has even reached the sleepy village of St Mary Mead. There’s a new housing estate to make the villagers curious and fearful, and now the village has been thrown into a frenzy by the news that a glamorous American film star has bought the Manor House. Miss Jane Marple, confined to a chair after an accident, is wondering if life has passed her by. Then there is a vicious murder, and Miss Marple must unravel a web of lies, tragedy and danger.
This adaptation by Rachel Wagstaff of Agatha Christie’s famous novel, The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side, brings real emotional depth and psychological insight to a thrilling story of revenge and dark secrets in a prime example of clever, plot-twisty storytelling.
Carol Death, the director of The Mirror Crack’d, says:
“We are delighted that the Apollo Theatre Players will be performing this dynamic new adaptation of such a thrilling and accessible classic. It’s an enjoyable, suspenseful, and often witty theatrical experience that will resonate with Christie fans. We hope you will enjoy our production.”
You can catch The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side at the Apollo Theatre on 24th October – 1st November (no performances Sunday or Monday).
