Bradley Kyle Sparshot, charged with breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order for the 10th time since it was put in place, has appeared before magistrates this morning (Tuesday).
The 28-year-old admitted breaching the order on the 24th May when he visited a friend in Winton Street. The court heard that officers making routine inquiries became aware of Sparsholt’s presence despite a CBO banning him from the area having been in place since October last year.
Oscar Vincent, defending, told magistrates that Sparshot had made active efforts to follow the requirements of the order – including establishing a new life in Sandown and changing his GP surgery to The Heights Medical Centre – and had not been present in court for approximately a month.
Magistrates were told that on the day of the CBO breach, Sparshot had been invited by a friend to visit and ‘genuinely’ thought that the street was not covered by the order due to its geographic location on the outskirts of Ryde.
Ann Smout said that despite the breaches of the order, there had not been record of any other offences being committed, and it was simple a case that Mr Sparshot had been ‘in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people’.
Mr Sparshot was handed a 12-week custodial sentence suspended for 12 months, and must pay a surcharge of £128.

Well done for not appearing in court for ‘nearly a month’. Some of us have however managed rather longer.
and had not been present in court for approximately a month
,………….
oh well that makes it all ok then. Deadbeat. The fact that his solicitor references the fact that he hasn’t been in court for a few weeks, just shows they are clutching at straws when it comes to finding something good to say about this P rick.
…….
Mr Sparshot had been ‘in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people’.
…..
No, Mr Sparshot chose of his own free will to be where he was and he knows full well that Winton Street is Ryde
and made no effort to distance himself from the people he found himself with. No one forced him to Ryde.
Scumbag.
Another pathetic sentence, if this was a one off breach then perhaps it would be fitting but the 10th, come on this scroat is just showing his utter contempt for the law and was probably laughing hysterically as he left the court.
Ban him from ryde so he can now blight sandown with his presence , cheers
Why do we not operate a system where three crimes and you get an automatic five years with no remission.
And this is why sandown gets a bad reputation when all the low lives and scum gets sent here, perhaps sandown is becoming a open prison
Do you think this man has been given any motivation to change his behavior with all of this ‘wrist slapping’?
Yet another example of a magistrate that needs removing from office – they are as bad as the career criminals they are leaving in society in my opinion.
What is the point of a CBO then?
