Islanders still have the opportunity to share views on the future of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, but there are just a few days left to comment on the service’s Safety Plan survey.
From property fires to road traffic incidents, wildfires to medical emergencies, crews across the region are there to help keep the communities of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight safe.
The service is asking local residents for their views on how it should adapt and innovate to continue to meet the community needs over the next 5 years, as part of its draft Safety Plan which sets out future direction.
A short survey has been developed that only takes a few minutes to complete. You can have your say at https://bit.ly/yourserviceyoursay.
The survey is open until midnight on Monday (18th December 2024).
Deputy Chief Fire Officer Shantha Dickinson has said:
“We are always looking for ways to improve as an organisation serving the public.
“The role of a modern-day firefighter continues to evolve, and we are looking for new and innovative ways to protect the people across Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
“We need the help of our communities to tell us if they agree with our objectives, the proposals we have to achieve them, and if they feel we have missed anything from our plan.
“We are looking to develop a blueprint for how HIWFRS can continue to make life safer over the next five years.”
