What’s happened to Sandown, so sad
I know ! I remember the days someone could see you on the floor with head injuries and leave you there.
What is the world coming now.
You ok hun
What a worthless, immature and completely unfunny comment! Well done you.
Oh dear, I thought the same. If you have nothing postive to say then keep your pointless opinions to yourself. Lol
Sandown is a no go area of a night now for many of us who live elsewhere. Tourism will take a hit and drive the town into further decay unless more is done.
So true, but this applies to the whole Isle of Wight now, Basically drug dealers are the source of the problem, the users are collateral damage. The dealers need to be reported to the Police and the courts need to hit them really hard with very long jail terms and confiscation of all assets. The huge tax-free profits they make distort the whole social order and are extremely damaging to the whole of society, not to to mention the massive financial cost of their activities in terms of the burden on our Police, NHS and fire services, who pick up the pieces when their victims cause mayhem.
Their very presence in our midst causes honest people to be depressed and demoralised by the resultant violence , chaos and anti-social activities.
Absolutely agree, very well said.
In the late 80s early 90s the Isle of Wight, became a safe house for the idiots who could not behave elsewhere, who were under threat because they picked on the wrong one now they have unfortunately have had off spring who have also had off spring and this will carry on, for years to come, I really do not see it getting better.
Sandown is becoming a NO go zone.
Always about drugs. Public who have information on drug dealers have got to inform the police,
this way we can clear the filth of the streets.
Problem is, even when you report them the police won’t do anything- I know, because I’ve tried several times to report a well-known Sandown dealer and he’s still getting away with it.
How can you do this when so many people smoke weed? It’s a way of life now. Need to reverse this first.
Typical island its an absolute joke
No room to jail any but the very worst now. Criminals know that courts can’t give meaningful sentences ever again.
See the real unspeakable issue here.
Why is every one banging on sbout it being to do with drugs just because he had some weed on him ?? Looking at the time of the incident it is very possible both intoxicated and just come from a pub !!!
The 26 yr old was arrested on suspicion of gbh with intent and possession of cannabis. So it has got to do with drugs. Up to 5 yrs in jail ,an unlimited fine or both can be given. Until this government get tougher then the problem here and all over the mainland won’t go away.
I’m looking forward to the day when this generation get older and suffer the same misery they have inflicted on us…if I live another thirty years I will be laughing all the way to my grave..
The only trouble with that philosophy is that their offspring will start it all over again but bigger
