2 young boys from the Isle of Wight have been crowned RS Feva World Champions after beating competitors from 18 nations to claim sailing’s top prize in Germany.
Cassius Day and his sailing partner Harry O’Callaghan secured the title at the RS Feva World Championships in Travemünde, northern Germany, after producing a dominant display against a fleet of 138 boats from 18 nations across the globe.
The pair won 6 races during the championship to clinch the world title in challenging conditions.
Representing the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and Gurnard Sailing Club, the young sailors have now completed an unbeaten season in the RS Feva class.
Over the past year, Cassius and Harry have also won the National Championships, Inland Championships, Spring Championships and the RYA Eric Twiname Youth and Junior Championships.
There was further success for the Isle of Wight at the World Championships, with talented young sailors Hannah Yates and Fallon Day finishing as the third-ranked girls’ pairing in the world and 11th overall.

Cassius has also enjoyed further success alongside his sister, Fallon, representing Ryde School. The siblings won the Itchenor National Schools Championships in the RS Feva class for a record third consecutive year.
Meanwhile, Fallon and Hannah rounded off their season by being crowned overall winners of the RS Feva 2025/26 Grand Prix Series.
