The Chale Show is set to return this weekend, with organisers promising 2 days of family entertainment, traditional country show attractions and fundraising for Isle of Wight charities.
The annual event, now in its 98th year, takes place at Chale Recreation Ground on Saturday (1st August) and Sunday (2nd August), with a packed programme of arena displays, competitions and activities.
Among the main attractions will be displays by OG Performance Horses, the BMX Show, magician David Randini, as well as performances from the Medina Marching Band and Vectis Corps of Drums.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy displays of vintage tractors, military vehicles and steam engines, alongside the ever-popular children’s races.
Celebrating the show’s agricultural and horticultural heritage, exhibitors will showcase flowers, home-grown produce and vegetables, as well as entries in arts and crafts, photography, baking and children’s classes.
Around the showground there will be a variety of craft, food and trade stalls, a dedicated children’s area, the Village Green and the popular dog show.
Run entirely by volunteers, the Chale Show raises thousands of pounds for Isle of Wight charities each year. Mountbatten Isle of Wight has been named as the event’s charity partner for 2026, with visitors able to support the hospice by purchasing sunflowers during the weekend.
The Chale Show will be open from 10:00 until 17:00 on both Saturday and Sunday at Chale Recreation Ground on Military Road.
Advance tickets are priced at £15, rising to £16 on the gate, while children under the age of 16 can attend free of charge.

Drove past today and the traffic lights near the
entrance were green in both directions
SO COULD HAVE BEEN A SAFETY HAZARD
With vehicles from both directions going through
the lights.
Obviously traffic lights provided by a Cowboy.
It looked busy when I passed this afternoon
when going by I saw 4 bicycles side by side coming
from the opposite direction. I though fcuk
but thankfully they were on a vehicles roof rack.
