Motorists are facing significant delays between Sandown and Shanklin following a 3-vehicle collision involving an AA van in Lake this afternoon (Friday).
At the scene on Sandown Road, a rear end shunt involving an AA van and 2 Mazdas has occurred.
All 3 vehicles were heading toward the Newport Road junction when the collision occurred at around 12:35.
Resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are on scene tending to those involved, whilst Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary manage traffic flow.
A pumping appliance from Shanklin is also on scene, in the interests of scene safety.
The collision is causing significant delays to those heading between Sandown and Shanklin.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area whilst the incident is dealt with.
