“Sex pest” Aaron Hamilton, who groped numerous young boys whilst they played in the arcade he was working in, has been jailed for more than 4 years.
Hamilton, 37, formerly of Nutsey Lane in Totton but currently of HMP Bullingdon, appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court today (Friday) having previously admitted 5 counts of assault by touching numerous boys under the age of 13 and 3 counts of making indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child.
The first offence, committed between 5th – 8th April 2025, saw Hamilton touch a 6-year-old boy on the bottom, after his play costume came undone.
Around 6-weeks later, on 25th May 2025, he groped a 7-year-old boy on the bottom and penis. In a separate incident on the same day, Hamilton touched an 8-year-old on the bottom and on the penis. All the touching on that day was over clothing.
All of the assault offences occurred at Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park in Bembridge when Hamilton was working as an arcade attendant.
Between 9th July 2024 and 12th May 2025, Hamilton – who used to work at Hare and Hounds pub – made indecent photographs of children, including 210 category A, 198 category B, and 363 category C.
Court heard how, when interviewed, the children involved were made to feel “unhappy”, “cross” and “sad” by what had happened to them. Hamilton would give the children free goes on arcade machines and 2p coins to use too.
The offending came to light when one of the children told their parents, with Hamilton being picked out by the victims during an identity parade.
Crown Prosecutor, Richard Bendall, told the court that Hamilton had seemed to have sought out employment that gave him the “opportunity to offend” and that the 37-year-old had “abused his position of trust”.
The 37-year-old was sent to prison back in 2014 for indecent image offences and was most recently before the courts back in January after he was caught committing a lewd act in a public toilet.
Having initially been granted unconditional bail, Hamilton was remanded in custody in June after he failed to comply with rules surrounding his place on this sex offenders register, being that he failed to disclose 2 social media accounts – 1 on Instagram and another on Snapchat to the Police.
Handing down his sentence, Recorder Crooknorth labelled Hamilton a “sex pest” and said he was a “serious risk to children”.
Despite giving the former arcade worker “full credit” for his guilty plea, Hamilton was jailed for 4-years and 1-month.
He was also handed a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
