Ollie Linington has become the first Isle of Wight youth darts player to win a regional JDC Volt final after a stunning unbeaten knockout run.
A brilliant display of consistency and composure saw Ollie power his way through the regional JDC Volt Finals knockout stages, producing impressive averages and stepping up when it mattered most.
Ollie began his title charge in the last 16 with a 4–2 victory over Corey Stamp, averaging 63.65 in a confident opening performance.
He followed that up in the quarter-final with another 4–2 win, this time overcoming Tom Bristow with a 64.4 average to book his place in the last four.
Ollie saved his very best for the semi-final, producing a dominant 4–0 whitewash against Archie Isaacson. In a standout performance, he fired in a huge 78.08 average – comfortably his highest of the day – to underline his title credentials.
In the final, Ollie faced Jenson Macey and once again showed maturity beyond his years. Maintaining his consistency, he sealed a 4–2 victory with a 64.43 average to lift the regional crown.
The triumph marks a landmark moment for youth darts on the Isle of Wight, with Ollie becoming the first Island youngster to claim a regional JDC Volt title.
His run was characterised by steady scoring, clinical finishing and the ability to raise his game at key moments, particularly in the semi-final where he delivered his most commanding display.
