Just in time for the festivities of Cowes Week, a new collaboration is bringing art, shade and handcrafted cocktails to Cowes.
The Courtyard – an exclusive space created by local artists in partnership with Bar No.46 and supported by local business Olesinski – has officially opened its doors.
Located next to Bar No.46, The Courtyard invites visitors to step away from the crowds and enjoy a beautifully curated space celebrating local creativity. Guests can relax while browsing art from Isle of Wight artists, sipping cocktails and sampling a selection of refreshments. Those involved say the new space champions the Isle of Wight’s creative spirit.
Local artist and curator Gail Willows said:
“Supporting our local high street and working entirely with Isle of Wight artists and businesses has been at the heart of The Courtyard from the start. We’re proud to showcase the incredible talent that exists right here in our community, and we’re so grateful to Olesinski for sponsoring this project and helping us bring it to life.”
The Courtyard will be open every day throughout Cowes Week, offering visitors a chance to experience something special alongside the world-famous sailing regatta.
Jack Anselm, owner of Bar No.46, added:
“At Bar No.46 we pride ourselves on being a little hidden gem in Cowes – serving great coffee and fresh juices by day, and the wines, cocktails and drinks by night. It’s really special for us to collaborate with talented local artists on The Courtyard and bring something unique to the high street during Cowes Week.”
The Courtyard is located next to Bar No.46 and will open daily throughout Cowes Week. Local artists featured include Gail Willows, Brian Marriott and Anna Wyeth.

Oh tally ho.just pop in for a quick cocktail and horderves for a quick rendezvous around Cowes before joining the elite in a simply spiffing evening entertainment, dressed in the finest finery to gossip about all and sundry … won’t be for the likes of the lowly person to be sure
Oh tally ho. Just popping in for a quick cocktail and horderves before hitting the gangplank on a spiffing evening entertainment dressed in ones finery …not for the everyday lowly person to be sure…
