A motorcyclist is being treated for what is thought to be minor injuries after a 1 vehicle collision in Carisbrooke this afternoon (Saturday).
Emergency crews from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police are in attendance near to Dave Death’s Motorycling store on Priory Road, where a female has fallen off of her bike in the drizzling rain.
It is understood that only 1 vehicle has been involved, with the trainee motorcyclist enduring the incident during a motorcycling lesson.
A fellow motorcyclist, believed to be a motorcycling instructor, took the necessary precautionary steps in the approximately 25 minutes before emergency services arrived, including keeping the casualty still on the ground until paramedics could assess her for any hidden injuries.
Island Echo understands that the woman will be assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital should she need further medical assistance.
Traffic is able to flow freely through the area.

Poor thing. Well done to the instructor. Horrid day to be doing your bike test. Hopefully this doesnt put her off. Hope she makes a quick recovery and gets back on the bike
Best wishes to the rider, hopefully at such an early stage of her riding she will not be put off going out on the roads again. I’m sure her instructor will tell her how the accident happened and what to do in the future. Stay safe out there!
