Fears that a young girl could be in trouble at the seaside after being reported missing by her family prompted a multi-agency emergency response yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
Coastguard teams were alerted that a child had gone missing on Ryde Beach shortly before 14:30, leading to Police and Ryde Inshore Rescue assisting in the search for the youngster.
Within the space of 10 minutes several units arrived on the scene at North Walk and began a thorough search of the beach and surrounding areas.
Thankfully, the girl was located safe and well shortly after.
