Wightlink-LCM Systems Cycle Race Team riders Sarah Chatwin and Jay Edwards headed to Crow Hill for Round 3 of the Southern XC Series on Sunday.
Unfortunately, a sequence of mechanical problems cut Edwards’ race short after just one lap, but his performances in the previous rounds should still keep him in contention for a place in the British Schools Championships later this year.
Wightlink-LCM Systems’ Chatwin faired better, battling on for over two hours in very muddy conditions to take third place in the veteran women’s category (pictured).
