Monday 27th November – Friday 1st December 2023
Jamie Matlock, 42, of Hope Mead, in Newchurch, pleaded guilty to 2x theft from a shop. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay compensation of £44.50. Finley Mulholland, 25, of West Street, in Wroxall, pleaded guilty to theft from a shop. He was fined £83 and ordered to pay compensation of £53, costs of £85 and a £33 surcharge fee. Terence Wolfe, 69, of Berry Close, in Newport, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, driving without 3rd party insurance and aggravated vehicle taking. He was handed a 12-month community order with 25 rehabilitation activity days. He was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay compensations of £400, costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge fee. For the offences of criminal damage, he was ordered to pay compensation of £167.23 and fined £80. John Duckworth, 49, of Victoria Street, in Ryde, pleaded guilty to racially/religiously aggravated harassment/alarm/distress and theft from a shop. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £85. Paul Symonds, 42, of Meadowside, in Newport, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was handed a 12-month community order and ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay costs of £100. Jayden Dewhurst, 18, of Hunnyhill, in Newport, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, 2x assault by beating and theft from a shop. He was handed an 18-month community order with a 9-month alcohol treatment requirement, 20 rehabilitation days and 80 hours of unpaid work attached. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £322.50. Adam Thompson, 32, of Kestrel Way, in Carisbrooke, pleaded guilty to harassment without violence. He was handed a 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitation activity days and 150 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge fee. Stuart Searle, 47, of Oakvale, in Ryde, pleaded guilty to using threatening words/behaviour with intent to cause harassment alarm or distress, 5x criminal damage, common assault, assault by beating and possess a controlled drug of Class A. He was handed an 18-month community order with 30 rehabilitation days and 100 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay compensation of £545 and £85 costs. Lily Woodward, 18, of Carisbrooke Road, in Newport, pleaded guilty to 2x theft from a shop, drug driving and driving without a licence. She was banned from driving for 15-months and fined £160 and ordered to pay compensation of £10. Gino Randall, 35, of Chandler Close, in Newport, pleaded guilty to 4x theft from a shop. He was fined £80, an £85 costs, £32 surcharge fee and £14.80 compensation. Martin D’arcy, 54, of Fort Street, in Sandown, pleaded guilty to 2x assault a constable in the execution of his/her duty. He was handed a 12-month community order with a 90-day alcohol abstinence requirement, 25 rehabilitation days and 40 hours of unpaid work attached. He was ordered to pay costs of £85. Warren Russell, 40, of Barton Road in Newport, pleaded guilty to 2x theft from a shop. He was ordered to pay compensation of £14.89.

Alan Cassford, 22, of Sandown Road, in Sandown, for use vehicle without 3rd party insurance, failing to stop after an accident and driving without a licence.
Single-justice Procedure Cases
Mark Warne, 47, of Clarendon Street in Newport, admitted using a handheld mobile device whilst driving. He was fined £143, and ordered to pay a surcharge fee of £57. His licence was endorsed with 6 penalty points. Jayne O’Keefe, 44, of West Hill Road in Ryde, admitted speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road, and using a passenger vehicle with tyres of insufficient tread. She was fined £660, ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £264 surcharge fee. Her licence was endorsed with 3 penalty points. Lee Richie, 30, of Coopers Lane in Shalfleet, admitted speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £88 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 3 penalty points. Paul Salmon, 60, of Broadway Crescent in Ryde admitted fail to give information relating to the identification of the driver / rider of a vehicle when required. He was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £264 surcharge fee. His licence was endorsed with 6 penalty points. Liam Estridge, 34, of Harts Lane in Rookley, admitted speeding – exceeding 30mph on a restricted road. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs of £90 and an £88 surcharge fee.
